            Learning outcomes
        
        
            1. To know and understand the nature, sources and directions of evolution of international relations and foreign policy of states, the state of theoretical research of international relations and world politics.
2. To comprehend and analyze global processes and their impact on international relations and foreign policy of individual states.
3. To collect, process and analyze information on the state of international relations, world politics and foreign policy.
4. To prepare analytical reports, reports and other documents on the state of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            To successfully master the discipline, the student must know the theoretical foundations of the study of foreign policy, the scientific apparatus and the basic concepts of international political science in foreign policy; be able to apply the acquired knowledge in solving practical tasks related to professional responsibilities, analyze events related to foreign policy of the state, objectively assess them, assess the foreign policy process and analyze the foreign policy system of states; have the skills to analyze the causes, the dynamics of foreign policy.

            Topic 1. US foreign policy mechanism. Conceptual foundations and factors that determine US foreign policy.
Topic 2. Formation of the main directions of US foreign policy after World War II.
Topic 3. New frontiers of the Kennedy administration (1961-1963) and the policy of the Johnson administration (1963-1969).
Topic 4. The policy of detente of Presidents R. Nixon and J. Ford.
Topic 5. President Reagan's policy: from confrontation to a new detente.
Topic 6. The policies of the Bush and Clinton administrations.
Topic 7. The fight against international terrorism by President George W. Bush Jr.
Topic 8. The successes and failures of the policies of the administrations of Obama, Trump and Biden.
Topic 9. Formation and evolution of Russia's foreign policy.
Topic 10. Russia's policy on international security.
Topic 11. Asian policy in Russia.
Topic 12. Formation and evolution of Chinese policy during the Cold War.
Topic 13. Indian foreign policy.
