Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Basic knowledge of topical issues of Turkic scientific discourse, methodology of scientific research in the field of Turkic languages and literatures, principles of academic integrity. 2. Possess the methods of bibliographic analysis, methods of processing scientific literature (in Turkic and European languages), strategies for generalizing and synthesizing large amounts of information relevant to modern Turkology. 3. Possess basic skills of research search and structural and systematic analysis of professional literature.
Course content
The preparation of a bachelor's thesis includes the stages of choosing and approving a topic, consulting with a supervisor, collecting material, studying sources and scientific theoretical, methodological and critical literature, drawing up a plan, writing the thesis, and defending it. The work is submitted to the examination committee in writing in the approved form along with other supporting documents: an abstract; a response from the supervisor; a review. The public defense takes place in the form of a presentation using various forms of visualization of the report and the use of technical means. At the public defense, the supervisor's feedback and review of the bachelor's thesis are announced, and the student answers questions from the committee members and the reviewer's comments. The bachelor's thesis is graded on a 100-point scale, taking into account the sum of the points given by the supervisor, reviewer, and examination committee in accordance with the approved evaluation criteria.

Assessment methods and criteria
The grade for the bachelor's thesis consists of three components: 1) assessment of the supervisor, who fills in the supervisor's feedback form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (10 points). 2) evaluation of the reviewer who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (45 points). 3) the grade for the defense of the qualification work (45 points), which is assigned by the certification commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet, which also contains a total grade as an arithmetic whole of the three components (100 points).
