Course content

The practical part of the course focuses on establishing lists of relics of the initial stage of human language formation on the basis of the Oriental languages chosen by students; determining the place of each of the Oriental languages studied by students in the content and other typologies of languages; general trends in the evolution of these languages; a specific method of calculating the time of divergence of specific related languages according to the method of M. Svodesh on the basis of his operational vocabulary lists of 215 and 100 basic words. The form of final control of the discipline is an exam.
