Learning outcomes
To know and understand nature, sources and trends of the evolution of international relations, foreign policy and diplomacy of the states, theoretic research of international relations and world policy. To analyze and assess problems of international and national security, international and internationalized conflicts, approaches, methods and mechanisms to ensure security at the international stage, in foreign policy and diplomacy of world states. To define, assess and predict political, diplomatic, security, social and other kinds of risks in the sphere of international relations and global development.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know theoretical foundations of multilateral international relations, international security and pursuing foreign policy. To be able to analyze dynamics of multilateral communication considering political and economic factors. To have initial experience of political analysis, analysis of international situations and forecasting.
Course content
Module 1 1.Ensuring international security as a global problem. 2.Creation and development of NATO within the context of international relations. 3. problems of NATO ewnlargement. 4. Policy and NATO Partnership Programmes. Module 2. 5. OSCE as an integral part of contemporary European security architecture. 6. OSCE activities. 7. OSCE collaboration with other international organizations. 8. Security aspect in the activities of other international organizations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, visits to representations of international organizations in Ukraine.
Assessment methods and criteria
1. Answers, comments, blitz poll, discussion, – up to 35 points. 2. Tasks for individual work (presentation) – up to 10 points. Individual work is carried out by a team of students (2-3-students). Results are presented at the seminar class. 3.Module paper (test-paper) – up to 15 points.
