Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the main categories and concepts of psychological science, the history of psychological knowledge, methods of psychology, basic information about mental phenomena, processes, conditions and their functioning in normal and pathology. 2. To be able to create a theoretical and empirical model of research, to form conceptual and methodological tools of work in the process of psychodiagnostics and to plan psychotherapeutic intervention with patients of somatic and psycho-neurological clinics. 3. To have basic skills of science research, retrieval, processing and analysis of information, use of information and communication technologies and basic competencies of psychological support of people with mental and somatic disorders.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline - mastering knowledge of the historical stages of formation of clinical psychology as an independent discipline, its subject, method, current research and place in the system of related sciences; understanding the methodological basis of organizing and conducting experimental and empirical research in the clinic; analysis of the main methodological problems of modern clinical psychology. Abstract of the discipline. The course is devoted to the formation of practical skills of theoretical, methodological and empirical analysis of current issues of clinical psychology. The course aims to acquaint students with the main historical stages of science, with the specifics of methodological problems, identify key areas for discussion, give their substantive characteristics and outline the main scientific approaches to solving methodological problems in clinical psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment during the studying period: 1. Test based on the results of studying 1-4 topics (maximum 10 points). 2. Test based on the results of studying 5-9 topics (maximum 10 points). 3. Evaluation of participation in seminars (maximum 20 points). 4. Score for participation in practical classes (maximum 20 points). The final evaluation is conducted in the form of a credit. The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester (maximum number - 100 points) and does not provide additional assessment activities for successful students. Students who scored less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical minimum of 40 points, are credited. The test is conducted in the form of an oral survey on the subject of the course and the performance of a creative individual task, which is estimated at 20 points. Rating scale. Passed - 60-100 points.
