Learning outcomes
PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization).
PLO 14. Create, analyze and edit texts of various styles and genres.
PLO 19.1. Apply effective strategies and methods of translating Chinese-language texts into Ukrainian and vice versa. PLO 20.1 Apply knowledge of the specifics of Chinese linguistic-cognitive discourse in the process of professional communication in a Chinese-speaking environment. PLO 21.1 Use acquired theoretical knowledge and practical Chinese language skills in various scenarios of professional activity (from translation provision of effective communication to managerial activities).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful completion of courses: "Methodology and organization of scientific research with the basics of intellectual property", "Communicative strategies of the Chinese language", "Oral translation of scientific texts (Chinese)", "Pedagogy of higher education and teacher's pedagogical skills", etc.
2. knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies).
3. mastering the practice of translating Chinese text, professional communication skills in Chinese.
Course content
The purpose of the academic discipline is to define terms related to the methodology of translational research, the principles of work on research, the structure, methods of approach to the definition of research methodology, etc. Master the methodology of working with research. The academic discipline is taught in the 2nd and 3rd semesters in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program " Oriental philology, Western European language and translation: Chinese language and literature". Within the scope of the discipline, theoretical and practical material is presented, which consists in introducing students to the new for them sphere of translation studies, namely the applied branch of the methodology of translation studies, as a result of which students develop their understanding of the main provisions of this science, become familiar with the corresponding metalanguage and begin to operate with it reproductively.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade.
Evaluation of the semester work is carried out in the following forms: oral response at the seminar class, additions, participation in the discussion, blitz survey, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result:In case of the mid-term control:- in the maximum dimension of 100 points,In case of the exam:The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).In case of absence from the seminar session, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar.
