PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 14. Create, analyze and edit texts of various styles and genres. PLO 19.1. Apply effective strategies and methods of translating Chinese-language texts into Ukrainian and vice versa. PLO 21.1 Use the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills of Chinese language in various scenarios of professional activity (from translation to ensure effective communication to managerial activities).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the disciplines "Oriental language", "Translation practice", "Fundamentals of theory and practice of translation", etc.; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics, translation studies, business communication and language etiquette; 3) mastering the practice of translating Chinese-language text, the skills of analyzing original works.
Course content
The purpose of the academic discipline is to acquaint students with the main features of translating texts in the field of scientific activity, as well as to provide Orientalist students with special and advanced practical skills for translation, both oral and written. The academic discipline "Translation of scientific and technical documentation" is a mandatory component of the multi-semester discipline of the selective block "Sectoral translation: Chinese language" and is taught in the 2nd and 3rd semesters in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program "Oriental philology, Western European language and translation: Chinese language and literature".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of the semester work is carried out in the following forms: oral response at the seminar class, additions, participation in the discussion, blitz survey, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result:In case of the mid-term control:- in the maximum dimension of 100 points,In case of the credit:- in the maximum dimension of 100 points,- a minimum of 60 points.
