Successful mastering of the disciplines "Human Anatomy", "Human Physiology", "Physiology of Nutrition and Digestion", "Metabolism", "Biochemistry of Digestion". Ability to independently assess the nature and consequences of the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors and human activities on the health of the digestive system. Possession of basic skills in working with scientific literature, comparative and systematic analysis, extrapolation of data to solve specific scientific and practical problems.

The discipline "Diseases of the digestive system" is part of the program of professional training of educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Nutrition". The discipline is based on knowledge of the gastrointestinal tract, the structure of organs, the functioning and regulation of the components of the human digestive system. The main attention is paid to diseases of the digestive system, their prevention and treatment. Due to the fact that the last decades have been characterized by the rapid development of molecular genetic and immunological diagnostics of gastroenterological diseases, the introduction of biotechnology in clinical practice, which has contributed to significant progress in diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological diseases, increased diagnostic capabilities laboratory diagnostics of autoimmune pathology, which is relevant for graduates of the specialty "Technologies of medical diagnosis and treatment".
