Course content
Metabolism, which occurs continuously in our body, is the basis of life of living organisms. It is he who provides the cells with substances and energy, so their growth, development, and general existence are possible. Metabolic phenomena are the entry into the body from the environment of various substances, in the assimilation and change in the release of decomposition products. In all these processes of change of substances in the body there are many different chemical, mechanical, thermal and electrical phenomena, which is constantly energy conversion: the potential energy of complex organic compounds during their breakdown is released and converted into thermal, mechanical, electrical. In general, metabolic processes ensure the vital functions of the human body at all levels. Any violation of the course of reactions leads to a change in physiological state, which can have serious clinical consequences.
