Successful study of the disciplines "Practical course of an oriental language (Chinese)", "Basics of linguistics", "Basics of translation theory", "Basics of translation practice", "Business communication and speech etiquette of an oriental language (Chinese)", "Lexicology of the Chinese language", " Theoretical grammar of the Chinese language", "Theoretical aspects of the syntax of the Chinese language", "Translation of Chinese-language economic and commercial texts", "Oral Chinese-Ukrainian two-way interpretation at conferences", "Translation of Chinese scientific speech", "Stylistics of the Chinese language", etc.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to deepen the knowledge of students in the field of modern Chinese language stylistics within the limits of scientific and official-business style, which would provide them with an adequate basis for fluency and professional mastery of the language in the context of intercultural communication, the formation of professional translation skills of scientific and official-business texts. The discipline is taught for a total of 150 hours. (5 ECTS credits), including 16 hours of classroom classes, of which 16 hours are practical classes, and 134 hours of independent work (zero semester: practical classes – 4 hours, independent work – 26 hours; first semester: practical classes – 6 hours, independent work - 54 hours; second semester: practical classes - 6 hours, independent work - 54 hours).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The educational discipline consists of three content modules. The forms of current and modular control with an indication of the assessed learning outcomes (LP) and the maximum/minimum number of points in the assessment are as follows: oral response at the seminar session, additions, participation in the discussion, testing, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result:In case of the credit: in the maximum dimension of 100 points,- a minimum of 60 points.In case of the exam:- in the maximum dimension of 60 points,- a minimum of 36 points.The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).In case of absence from the seminar session, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar.
