Course content
The discipline "Applied Microbiology" is part of the educational program professional training of specialists of the educational level "Bachelor". The discipline is selective and is devoted to the study of traditional microbiological industries and biotechnologies using microorganisms: fermentation technology, feed protein, enzymes, organic acids, solvents, vaccines, probiotics, drugs that increase soil fertility. Reveals microbiological methods of pest and plant disease control and metal leaching from ores, wastewater treatment and biogas production. Attention is paid to the use and storage of producer strains, genetically modified microorganisms, sanitary requirements for microbiological and pharmaceutical industries.
