The discipline "Molecular Biology" is a basic subject taught in the 4th semester of the 2nd year and should form in students a clear understanding of the principles of cell function at the molecular level. The course consists of two modules, each of which focuses on certain aspects of molecular biology. The first module presents modern knowledge about the structure and properties of biological macromolecules and molecular mechanisms of transcription. The second module is devoted to the study of molecular mechanisms of translation and replication and recombination of DNA, as well as the basics of molecular biology methods.
