Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of biochemistry, cytology, microbiology, physiology. 3. Be able to independently apply knowledge of microbiology, work with scientific and methodological literature
Course content
The discipline is selective and is devoted to the study of technologies of various microbiological industries and microorganisms used in industry. An important place is given to the coverage of methods of selection of industrial strains of microorganisms, methods of their storage and cultivation on different types of raw materials. Technological schemes of food and beverage production, synthesis of biologically active substances and medicines are considered in detail. Considerable attention is paid to the production of dietary protein, probiotics, enzyme preparations, bacterial fertilizers, plant protection products. The issues of using microorganisms in biogeotechnologies are considered. The study of technologies of microbiological production is relevant for the development of new biotechnologies and improvement of existing ones.
