Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO 14. To use Polish, English and Lithuanian languages orally and in writing, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres life. PLO 22.1. To apply the knowledge of Polish and Lithuanian languages within the framework of linguistic and regional studies and tourism discourses. PLO 24.1 Apply receptions of literature and cultural realities in tourism discourse.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must possess elementary skills of linguistic analysis of characteristic features of the Polish and Lithuanian languages, possess elementary skills of selection, analysis and interpretation of country history facts.
Course content
The purpose of teaching the educational discipline "Applied Excursionology" is the formation of students' fundamental knowledge, abilities and skills in relation to the preparation qualified translators-tourism experts, based on modern achievements of leading domestic and foreign scientists and world practice. As a result of the study of the academic discipline, the student should know: basic concepts, features, functions of excursology; the main stages of development of the excursion business in Ukraine; general provisions of the legislation of Ukraine regarding excursion activities; to be able to: apply acquired theoretical knowledge to solve specific applied problems; design tourist service processes, provide excursion translation services taking into account a differentiated approach to serving different categories of consumers

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is delivered with the help of such activities as oral reports and written tests. The teaching methods are lectures, seminars, creative and research projects, students’ individual work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final control form is an exam. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student during the semester. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (oral answers, tests) and for independent work. During the semester, a student can receive a minimum of 60 points and a maximum of 100 points.
