Certification of the graduates of the educational and professional program of specialty № 035 "Philology" “ English Studies and Two Western European Languages” is conducted publicly and openly in the form of: 1) passing a complex final exam in English and literature; 2) defense of the bachelor's qualification work in English.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, English and in two Western European languages, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize own learning and self-education process. PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human, nature and society genesis. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8. Know and understand the system of language, the general properties of literature as the art of word, the history of English and the two studied Western European languages, and literature, be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 9. Characterize dialect and social varieties of English and two Western European languages, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, English and two other Western European languages. PLO 12. Analyze language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. Examination regulations and grading scale
The assessment is carried out on a 100-point, national and ECTS scale. Assessment forms, clearly defined in the syllabus of the relevant disciplines, indicate the maximum number of points that can be obtained for each of the forms of assessment: current control (oral interviews, presentations, essays, written tests), semester control, final certification of students and defense of qualification (bachelor) work. Semester control comprises a test or exam (written, oral, mixed form), defense of course work, internship. A necessary condition for admission of the student to the exam is the minimum number of points that they must score in accordance with the forms of current control which is fixed in the relevant syllabus of the discipline. Specific rules of examination are defined in the work programs of academic disciplines.

Work placement
Compulsory component is a full-time social and communication internship (9 ECTS credits). The main task is the training of highly qualified philologists with not only professional but also soft skills. Social and communication internship involves practicing communication skills with representatives of different social groups, gaining teamwork skills and mastering the leadership skills required to perform work tasks. Students have the opportunity to choose the place of internship, which not only exercises their right to choose and form an individual educational track, but also gives the opportunity to cooperate with potential employers. In the framework of internship, students learn to perform the tasks of the institution management in accordance with the requirements within the given time. Terms and types of internships are determined according to the curriculum.

Occupational profiles of graduates
Bachelor of Philology can work in scientific, literary, publishing and educational fields; in print and electronic media, PR-agencies; in various foundations, unions, humanitarian foundations, museums, art and cultural centers, libraries, archives, etc. In case the selective block 1. “Teaching the English Language and Literature” (a set of psychological, pedagogical and methodical disciplines and the completion of pedagogical practice) is chosen, graduates can work as an English teacher in institutions of secondary education, perform methodical, organizational work and other pedagogical activities stipulated by the employment contract and/or job description.
Access to further studies
Graduates have the right to continue their studies at the second level of higher education.
