To obtain the qualification «Higher School Teacher»: mastering the disciplines of pedagogical and psychological block; passing Teaching practice and the Exit Exam (≥75 points). In addition the qualifications “interpreter’ or “junior researcher” may be awarded.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. To evaluate personal educational and scientific-professional activity, build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, IT in particular, for the successful and effective professional activity and quality research within the Persian philology. PLO 4. To assess and critically analyse socially personally and professionally significant issues, and suggest solutions in complex and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To find optimal ways of the effective interaction in a team of professionals and with the representatives of other professional groups on different levels. PLO 6. To apply knowledge of expressive, emotional and logical linguistic means, and speech techniques in order to achieve planned pragmatic results and establish successful communication. PLO 7. To analyse, compare and classify various directions and schools in linguistics. PLO 8. To evaluate historical and contemporary achievements within literary studies. PLO 9. To describe theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic notions, etc.) and applied aspects of the Persian philology. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). Examination regulations and grading scale
The final semester control of knowledge is carried out in the form of a test or exam. The form of semester control, the content and structure of examination tickets, evaluation criteria are specified in the work program of the discipline and are brought to the attention of students in the first classes. Rating scale (in points): 90-100 – Excellent; 75-89 – Good; 60-74 – Satisfactory; 0-59 – Unsatisfactory; 60-100 – Passed; 0-59 – Failed. Students must adhere to the rules of academic integrity in education: the principles of honesty, trust, justice, respect, responsibility; uphold the values of academic integrity and adhere to its rules in all activities in the university space and beyond.

Work placement
Work Placement (Teaching) practice is a compulsory component of Program. The bases of the practice are the Center for Iranian Studies of of ESIPh (Persian), the Department of Methods of Teaching Ukrainian and Foreign Languages and Literatures of ESIPh (English) of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Translation and research practices are selective components of Program. The bases of the practices are the Center for Iranian Studies NNIF and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine. The Internship is based on a bilateral agreement between Taras Shevchenko National University and Tehran University dated December 12, 2013. Students' participation is determined on the basis of their rating success.

Occupational profiles of graduates
Masters in Philology with knowledge of Persian and English can work in scientific, literary and publishing, educational fields; at the teaching, research and administrative positions in higher education institutions; in print and electronic media, Internet marketing, PR agencies, various foundations, unions, humanitarian foundations, museums, libraries and archives, art and cultural centers, etc. In addition, knowledge of Persian and English allows the employment of Masters in Philology in various sectors of the economy, which require services for the creation, analysis, translation, evaluation of texts in these languages, as well as travel agencies, international organizations, foreign missions, diplomatic and consular services, regional offices, etc.

Graduates have the right to continue their studies at the third educational and scientific level of higher education, as well as to acquire additional qualifications in the system of postgraduate education.
