Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese), in oral and written forms, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 14. Use English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in everyday, public, educational, professional and academic spheres of life. PLO 17. Collect, analyse, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and tasks in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the following courses: psycholinguistics, ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of introduction to linguistics and practical rhetoric; 3. Possession of elements of the methodology of linguistic and stylistic text analysis, skills of systematization of linguistic facts and units; 4. Ability to research individual components of a communicative situation.
Course content
The discipline "Communicative Linguistics" belongs to the disciplines of the elective block "Political Linguistics" of the OP "Ukrainian and English: Translation and Editing". The course is aimed at deepening knowledge of problematic issues of communication theory; systematization of such basic communication units as "text", "discourse", "speech genre", "speech act". Particular attention is paid to the development of knowledge about the structure of interpersonal communication situations, types of political discourse, and basic concepts of political communication. The course uses Russian-language literature by Ukrainian linguists to achieve the goals of the discipline. Students study these materials in Ukrainian translation.

Learning activities during the semester: oral answers; blitz surveys; current test tasks; individual assignment; learning project; supplement; presentation
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: The total number of points for the semester is from 36 to 60 points. By types of work: oral response - LO 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1-4.2 from 2 to 3 b.; blitz survey - LO 1.1, 2.1, 2.3 from 0.5 to 1 b.; current test tasks - LO 1.1.1, 4.1 from 0.5 to 1 b.; presentation - LO2.1, 2.4, 3.1 from 0.5 to 1 b.; supplement - LO1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1-4.2 from 0.5 to 1 b.; training project - LO2.2 from 2.5 to 5 b. Final assessment - comprehensive exam: the maximum number of points in the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive assessment), which are added to the semester points - 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam); the exam assesses the following learning outcomes: LO 1.1, 1.2, 1.3; 2.2; 2.3, 2.4; 3.1. PLO 4.2; exam - in the form of written work, exam paper - 4 tasks: 2 theoretical questions with open answers, each of which is evaluated by 5 points; 2 practical tasks, each of which has a maximum of 15 points.
