Learning outcomes
1.1 to know the basic concepts from the course, trends and perspectives of museification of historical landscapes and cities in Ukraine and the world
1.2 know the basics of national and international legislation in the field of cultural heritage protection
1.3 to know the specifics of the protection and functioning of museumized historical buildings in the countries of the world
2.1 to be able to determine the tourist potential of museum cities
2.2 to be able to identify promising directions for the development of museum cities
3.1 to be able to collect complete and reliable information about the functioning of the museum cities of the world, to identify the peculiarities of national and regional museum practices
4.1 to be able to establish the main trends of protection and preservation of historical buildings and environments
4.2 to be able to identify patterns of functioning, main trends and prospects for the development of museum cities
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know the basic concepts and terms of museum business, cultural heritage protection, development trends of the museum and monument protection sphere in Ukraine and the world:
to be able to apply the main terms and categories of museology, monument studies, collect, systematize and present information about the experience of the functioning of modern preservation institutions, identify the main problems of the functioning of museum institutions;
to have basic skills of working with scientific literature and source criticism, using foreign-language specialist sources, establishing cause-and-effect relationships.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ЗМ1) includes topics 1–6, content module 2 (ЗМ2) includes topics 7–11.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work.
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are:
• complete disclosure of the issue
• the logic of presentation
• use of basic and additional literature
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
