Learning outcomes
1.1 to know the basic concepts from the course, the main directions of financial activity of museum institutions 1.2 know the basics of national legislation regulating the financial activities of museum institutions, analysis of the financial report of a museum institution 1.3 to know the specifics of fundraising activities of museum institutions 2.1 to be able to determine the commercial opportunities of non-profit organizations 2.2 to be able to design a fundraising campaign in museums 3.1 be able to collect complete and reliable information about the attraction of additional resources by museums, analysis of fundraising activities of a museum institution 4.1 to be able to identify the main problems of financing museums as budgetary institutions and solve them 4.2 to be able to identify patterns of fundraising and image activities of museum institutions

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know - basic concepts and terms of museum affairs; - the basics of Ukrainian legislation in the field of culture and museum affairs; - areas of activity and organizational structure of museum institutions; - trends in the development of the museum industry in Ukraine and the world. 2. To be able to - apply the main terms and categories of museum business; - determine the sequence and interdependence of processes in the field of culture; - collect, systematize and present information about the experience of functioning of modern museum institutions; - identify the main problems of museum institutions and their functioning financing in Ukraine. 3. Have elementary skills - work with scientific literature and source criticism; - use of foreign language professional sources; - scientific research and information management.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ЗМ1) includes topics 1-6, content module 2 (ЗМ2) includes topics 7-12.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
