Tasks (educational goals): formation of a complete system of knowledge about museology. its structure, functions and purpose. As a result of studying the course, students should learn the elements of cultural and educational work of museums, be able to evaluate exhibition material, determine museum content. demand for museum space, to comprehensively determine the relevance of creating exposition exhibitions.

1. Know the main terms and categories of general and special museology. 2. To be able to navigate the basic principles of scientific, scientific fund, exposition and cultural and educational work of modern museums, to clearly imagine the evolution of collecting and museum work throughout the history of mankind. 3. To have elementary skills about the specifics of the work of the largest museums of the world and Ukraine.

The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1-8. in content module 2 (СМ2) - topics 9-15.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods: - a lecture - seminar classes - independent work - test - oral interview - essay

The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
