Learning outcomes
LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. LO 14. By their own to determine the circumstances which are needed social assistance. LO23. Construct the process and result of socio-pedagogical activities within the set tasks, use quantitative and qualitative indicators, adjust the work plan in accordance with the results of the assessment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the structure of the psyche, factors and basic mechanisms of personality formation;
2) successful completion of the courses "General Psychology", "Physiology of the Nervous System and Higher Nervous Activity of the Human Being", "Fundamentals of Modern Didactics", "Age Psychology", "Prevention of Social Exclusion".
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to acquaint students with special pedagogy as a science and academic discipline, peculiarities of development and socialization of people with psychophysical developmental disorders, peculiarities of organization of correctional work in educational institutions for people with special educational needs.
The attitude of future specialists to persons with disabilities, professional skills and abilities are formed, which ensure the readiness to professionally provide psychological and pedagogical support to children in order to integrate them into the modern system of social relations. The general regularities of mental deontogenesis, the conceptual and categorical apparatus of special pedagogy, the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children with intellectual and speech disorders; children with deficit, impaired and disharmonious development are presented. Characterization of modern educational correctional, pedagogical, developmental programs for the education of persons with special educational needs.

For students who have scored less than the critical-calculated minimum of 20 points, in order to be admitted to the exam, it is mandatory to complete a creative task of increased complexity, which is evaluated at 40 points.
The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points.
