Learning outcomes

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basic methods of collecting and analyzing sociological data. 2. To be able to develop a program of sociological research. 3. To have skills of working with English-language scientific literature.
Course content
1. Substantiation of methodological and theoretical foundations of sociological research. 2. Quantitative and qualitative methods of sociological research. 3. Justification of the choice of design and methods of sociological research for the dissertation. 4. Practical work 1. Based on the recommended and additional literature, prepare a summary (in graphical or tabular form) and compare the methods of or tabular form) and compare the methods of sociological research. Assessment methods and criteria
Semester grading: 1. Practical/independent task on topic 1 - 20 points/12 points. 2. Practical/independent task on topic 2 - 20 points/12 points. 3. Practical / independent tasks on topic C - 20 points / 12 points. Final grade: written exam - 40 points. The minimum grade for successful completion (obtaining an overall positive grade) of the exam is 24 points.
