            1.1 Knowledge of modern scientific approaches to explaining globalization.
1.2 Knowledge of the basic laws and contradictions of the globalization process.
1.3 Knowledge of the current stage of globalization.
2.1 Be able to use the software environment R for data acquisition and processing.
2.2 Be able to use QGIS software to visualize spatial data.
2.3 Be able to develop projects of collective action using the mechanisms of globalization.

            1. Have a basic conceptual apparatus of sociology.
2. Orient in the basic theories of classical and modern sociology.

            Course content
        
        
            The concept of globalization. Classification of approaches to the definition of globalization.
2 Spatial, sectoral, agent and temporal diversity of globalization processes.
3 Contradictions and features of the current stage of globalization.
4 Origins and content of neoliberalism as an ideological basis of economic globalization.
5 Economic globalization, postfordism and flexible accumulation.
6 Transnational corporations as subjects of economic globalization.
7 Global inequalities and global class formation.
8 Reinventing politics and the state in the context of globalization.
11 Globalization as a factor in the crisis of classical sociological methodology. New methods of studying global processes.
12 Application of software environment R in studies of global processes and phenomena. Features of spatial data visualization in QGIS.

            1. CW 1 with topics 1–7 - 10 points / 6 points.
2. CW 2 with topics 8–12 - 10 points / 6 points.
3. Practical task in a practical lesson on the topic 12 - 10 points / 6 points.
4. Group project on topics 4-7 - 10 points / 5 points.
5. Independent task on the topic 6 - 5/3 points.
6. Participation in the discussion on topics 1-12 in practical classes on topics 1-12 - 15 points / 10 points.
final assessment: written exam (ticket contains test tasks in the form of closed questions of single and multiple choice) - 40 points (the correct answer is estimated at 0.5 points). The minimum score for passing the exam (overall positive grade) is 24 points.
