Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: the integral system of world religions, the main issues, research approaches and methodologies for the study of religious beliefs and cults. The influence of religious currents on the formation of social, political, cultural behavior of society. Be able to: independently search for and analyze religious primary sources, explain the conditions for the formation and development of modern religious beliefs, the variability of different types of religions, which arise from the specifics of the interrelationship of religious, worldview, political, social, natural-climatic and material-economic factors, based on their historical development. Possess: skills in working with scientific and theological literature.
Course content
The purpose of the curriculum is to form an idea of the modern challenges of religion and religious currents, which will allow to understand the influence of religious factors on the cultural, political, economic, and social life of society and to freely navigate the development of religious studies in the modern world.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Creative and reproductive tasks for independent work - up to 5 points for each 2. Preparation of reports and abstracts - up to 10 points for each 3. Modular test - up to 15 points - final evaluation in the form of an test - up to 40 points Based on the results of the work during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulation of grades for the module in the semester and grades for the test. The number of points: 1-34 corresponds to the grade "unsatisfactory" with the obligatory re-study of the discipline; 35-59 corresponds to the assessment of "unsatisfactory" with the possibility of re-assembly; 60-64 corresponds to the assessment "satisfactory" ("sufficient"); 65-74 corresponds to the assessment "satisfactory"; 75 - 84 corresponds to the assessment of "good"; 85 - 90 corresponds to the assessment "good" ("very good"); 91 - 100 corresponds to the rating "excellent"
