The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with systematic knowledge, reveal the laws of the educational process, form their comprehensive competencies to work in educational institutions in accordance with state standards, requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the ability to provide pedagogical communication, influence the development of moral and ethical qualities and values of the individual. The course "Pedagogy" reveals the basic concepts and categories of pedagogy, methods of scientific and pedagogical research, components of didactics and educational theory (their principles, methods, techniques, types, means, directions of development, etc.), scientific principles of modern school management. The students develop pedagogical thinking, learn to analyze pedagogical reality, and consciously master professional and pedagogical skills.

Students who score less than the critical-calculation minimum of 20 points must complete a creative task of increased complexity, which is evaluated at 40 points, to be admitted to the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. During the class, the following are assessed: oral response, presentation, essay, practical and individual tasks. Module test No. 1 is performed and evaluated after the completion of the first module (topics No. 1-6), module test No. 2 is performed after the completion of module 2 (topics No. 7-10). The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 60 points. The exam is worth 40 points. In total, a student can master a maximum of 100 points.
