1. to understand the specifics and features of the implementation of cultural ideas, images, and meanings, as well as to critically evaluate the possibilities of their interpretation to solve important problems for a society. 2. to analyze textual and visual sources of information about cultural phenomena and processes; to verify information according to professional objectives. 3. to analyze cultural rights and human freedoms, forms and mechanisms of their identification, inculturation, cultural adaptation, taking into account their regional specifics. 6. to communicate fluently in official and foreign languages orally and in writing to discuss professional issues, presentation of research results and projects. 7. to evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements in cultural studies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic cultural concepts and categories; basics of political science, ethics, everyday culture; basic cultural theories and methods of cultural studies, including methods of philosophy of culture, cultural anthropology. 2. To be able to isolate and analyze information on the manifestations of the phenomenon of cultural identity, the process of cultural identification, the nomenclature of identities and identifiers, and to apply the main terms, categories and classifications of cultural studies in order to isolate and analyze the problems of cultural identity in the modern world, the specifics and features of the process of cultural identification; predict likely contradictions of cultural identities in a multicultural world, find adequate mechanisms for their resolution and prevention. 3. Course content
The discipline "Problems of cultural identity" belongs to the list of disciplines of the student's free choice. The educational discipline introduces students to the main topic of the interdisciplinary discourse on the phenomenon of identity. The scientific "career" of the concept of "identity" is analyzed in the historical context of interdisciplinary studies (philosophy, psychology, sociology, political science, cultural studies, etc.), in particular, the history of its emergence, initial meanings and evolution of entities. The subject, theoretical-methodological foundations, tasks, main directions and problems of modern studies of the phenomenon of identity are defined. The structure of identity is considered, its ultimate foundations - value determinants - are clarified. The variability of the essential content of the concept of "cultural identity" is investigated. The problematic field of cultural identity is highlighted. The features of the identification process, the nomenclature of identities and identifiers, as well as strategies for acquiring cultural identity are considered. The main attention is paid to the contradictions of cultural identities in the modern globalized world in general and in Ukraine in particular. The contradictions of cultural identities in the modern world (Ukraine; Western European countries (Spain, Belgium, Great Britain), Turkey, Iraq, Iran, India) are considered.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: 1. Participation in discussions: 10/15 points. 2. Analytical work based on primary sources: 4/8 points. 3. Individual project work: 18/30 points. 4. Test work: 4/7 points. All types of work in the semester have as a result: - a maximum of 60 points - a minimum of 36 points Final evaluation in the form of an exam: Written exam: 24 / 40 points. Examination evaluation takes place in written form. The ticket consists of 2 questions, each of which is evaluated on a scale of 20 points, which gives a total of 40 points for the exam.
