Learning outcomes
PR01. Be able to perform a patent search, find and process the necessary scientific and technical information; independently apply for the invention. PR02. Know domestic and international copyright law. Be able to protect your intellectual property and avoid infringement of other people's intellectual property. PR03. Carry out technical and economic calculations of design decisions and analyze and evaluate their effectiveness, environmental and social consequences in the short and long term. PR04. Be able to choose and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical modeling and optimization in the development of scientific and technical projects. PR05. Know the molecular organization and regulation of gene expression, replication, recombination and repair, restriction and modification of genetic material in pro- and eukaryotes, the strategy of creating recombinant DNA for targeted design of biological agents.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successfully master the scientific-theoretical and practical material of the complex of educational disciplines of the educational level "Bachelor". Know the theoretical foundations of microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and basic methods of biological research. Be able to work with information databases, independently develop scientific and methodological literature. Be able to use materials and laboratory equipment in research. Possess methods of analytical evaluation of the results of biological research to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
Discipline "Biotechnological potential of microorganisms" covers theoretical and practical aspects of processes related to the main achievements of industrial microbiology, the choice of producers, methods of cultivation in production conditions, selection of nutrient media, commercially valuable products of microbial synthesis that can be used industries and agriculture.
