Identify the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres (SLO-06). Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the Earth sciences according to the specialization (SLO-12). To know the properties and patterns of interaction components of the climate system Earth, the laws of of climate formation and change (PLO 17)

1. successful mastering of the discipline "Meteorology"; 2. knowledge of theoretical foundations of atmospheric processes and phenomena.

The discipline "Climatology" is one of the components of the comprehensive training specialty "Earth Sciences" under the program "Meteorology". In the process of studying discipline the main climate-forming factors and processes are considered; climate system and relationships between its individual components; the main features of the thermal regime, moisture circulation and general circulation of the atmosphere; global fields of meteorological quantities; basics of climate classification and zoning; geographical types of climates; main types of microclimates.
