Select and determine samples of rocks. Make measurements of structural elements. Process selected in material routes.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Possession of disciplines; "Structural geology and geomapping", "General and historical geology", "Quaternary geology with the basics of geomorphology and remote sensing processing"
Course content
Comprehensive training practice consists of structural analysis and drilling. It is held at the landfill located within the confluence of the Skibova and Boryslav-Pokut zones of the flysch Carpathians around the village of Kosmach. Before starting field research, students should get acquainted with the general features of the geological structure of practice at the regional level and the history of geological research in the region, prepare field individual and team equipment. At the final stage, students use the construction of stereo projections to determine the directions of the main paleon stresses during the formation of fixed folded and discontinuous structures. At the final stage, the recorded paleofields of stresses are systematized and their relationship with each other and in relation to regional

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Field and in-house work, independent routes, independent student work
Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance is assessed on a 100-point scale. Final assessment in the form of a differentiated test with a maximum score of 40 points (minimum 24 points). Evaluation during the internship is carried out for work in field routes, work during in-house classes and keeping a field diary, where each of the stages is evaluated with a maximum of 20 points. Differentiated credit is required.
