Apply conceptual knowledge of natural and socio-economic sciences in performing tasks of geodesy and land management. Know the history and features of geodesy and land management, their place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: the main stages of the world educational process and the historical preconditions for the formation of university education in the world and in Ukraine. In order to: characterize the peculiarities of the influence of world university traditions on the formation of the Ukrainian educational system, understand the essence of historical processes that influenced the development of university education in Ukraine, have basic skills of forming independent conclusions about educational practices in the learning process.
Course content
The discipline "Introduction to University Studies" provides acquaintance with the primary sources of classical education and traditions; highlighting features formation of Western European university education and its development at different historical stages; review of the evolution of the educational process in the Ukrainian lands formation and activities of the first universities. Particular attention is paid to the history of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv - from the preconditions of its founding to the present. It is taught in 2 semesters in the amount of 60 hours. (2 ECTS credits), in particular: lectures - 20 hours, seminars - 8 hours of consultation - 2 hours, independent work - 30 hours. The discipline is completed by credit.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular-rating system and provides for: the implementation of self-laughing activities (where the student has to demonstrate the acquisition of practical skills and to highlight the tasks, using the activities outlined by the supervisor). The final assessment is conducted in the form of an oral and written test.
