Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the peculiarities of grammar, syntax, lexical composition of the Ukrainian language; methods and techniques of language teaching; various types of classes. Ability to comment on and analyze educational material; present material, illustrate it with examples; introduce the latest teaching technologies in foreign (Ukrainian) language classes; select and use methods and techniques in Ukrainian language classes in higher education institutions. Possession of skills of scientific presentation of material in a foreign (Ukrainian) language, techniques of conducting a dialogue with the audience, as well as systematic diagnostics of the quality of knowledge, skills and abilities.
Course content
The discipline develops the professional competencies of a master's student in the implementation of teaching activities in higher education institutions on the basis of the acquired theoretical knowledge. The discipline involves mastering modern methods and techniques of preparing and conducting classes in the specialty; fostering a desire to systematically update and improve the acquired knowledge, to creatively apply it in practice. Students must attend 10 practical classes in the specialty (Ukrainian language) at a higher education institution and independently conduct a practical class in Ukrainian as a foreign language in the junior year of a bachelor's degree or at the preparatory department, as well as draw up a detailed lesson plan in the specialty.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study: independent work. Teaching methods: independent study of educational material and methodological sources, consultations with the supervisor, pedagogical observation, methodological analysis of the lesson, development of a lesson plan, preparation of a report on practice, analysis of own experience.
