Learning outcomes
Students’ achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as the ability to apply existing knowledge in agrarian and legal disciplines; analyze and evaluate practical situations and formulate their conclusions in the field of regulation of agrarian relations; settle practical situations, related to the application of agrarian and other legislative prescriptions; formulate proposals and generalizations based on the results of the analysis.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students have to preliminary Know the norms of substantive and procedural law, which can be applied to the regulation of agrarian legal relations, the system and structure of public authorities and local self-government, the general principles of legal liability for the law violation. Be able to: correctly interpret and apply the regulatory legal acts provisions, justify their own position with reference to the regulatory framework and draw conclusions, independently solve practical situations in the sphere of regulation of agrarian relations. Have skills of analysis, legal norms interpreting, conducting of comparative-legal research, practical application of normative-legal acts prescriptions.
Course content
Students learn the theoretical and practical foundations of agrarian law of Ukraine, theoretical and practical systematization problems of the agrarian legislation of Ukraine, food security in Ukraine, implementation of the rights, freedoms and obligations of the individual in agrarian law, organizational and legal forms of agricultural production. Legal regulations difficulties of commodity production in the conditions of sustainable development, manufacture and distribution of organic agricultural products, farming conducting in public-private partnership conditions are considered. Organizational and legal support features of agricultural production in the context of the EU and WTO requirements, the problems of public administration in the agrarian sector, sustainable development of rural areas are investigated.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching is provided in the form of lectures, professor’s explanations and group analysis of new material. Seminars involve independent preliminary preparation and reports presentations on a given topic, familiarization with groupmates’ reports and results comparison. Discussion of the course issues is possible in a group format and with gamification elements. Some issues are studied using the case method based on elaboration of agricultural production situations in sustainable development conditions, public administration in agricultural sector and other types of agricultural legal relations. Individual work includes search for features of agrarian relations regulations in Ukraine, their essence clarification, actual problematics of legal regulations of agrarian relations in Ukraine for the presentation and analysis in classes.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of continuous assessment are selected by the instructor who conducts practical classes in accordance with the training program. The instructor, who conducts practical classes, sets the number of grades scored from the continuous assessment and enters them in the relevant documents of student performance. If a student is absent from a practical lesson for good reasons, he/she may make up the missed class in extra-curricular classes within 7 days after the missed class during the teacher's consultation hours. Academic detention is carried out by oral examination or by performing another type of task set by the instructor. Grades are not awarded for missed classes. At the end of the semester, student’s missed classes are not made up. Individual works assessment is carried out in a class according to the pre-determined timeline of their implementation by results presentations, group discussion etc.
