Learning outcomes
To know the history of the development of anthropological knowledge and modern trends in anthropology. To know the current problems of modern anthropological science, methodical and theoretical foundations of anthropology. To know the history of formation, the current state and prospects of the development of Ukrainian anthropological science. To know the main stages of the formation of a modern anthropological type of man and the main concepts of anthroposociogenesis. To know the anthropological composition of the ancient cultures of the territory of our state. To be able to apply progressive and rationally balanced methods of mastering knowledge while studying thematic literature. Be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge when conducting scientific research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.1. the history of the development of archaeological science; 1.2. archaeological periodization; Be able: 2.1. when studying thematic literature, apply progressive and rationally balanced methods of acquiring knowledge; 2.2. to navigate scientific and periodical anthropological literature on current problems of anthropology, to select the most important from this information, to be able to systematize it; 2.3. apply the acquired theoretical knowledge when conducting scientific research.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 meaningful modules. Each module includes lectures and independent work of students, which are completed by a rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СM1) includes topics 1 - 8, content module 2 (СM2) - topics 9 - 16.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods - lectures, seminars, independent and practical work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
