PLO 1. To communicate fluently in official and foreign languages (English, French / Spanish) on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists both orally and in the written form; to use the languages effectively for cross-cultural communication. Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know the current problems and methods of research and development of practical linguistic applications in the field of automatic processing of natural language; to be able to work with scientific information in the field of computer linguistics, to process it, to make generalizations and conclusions regarding trends in the development of the field; be able to create practical linguistic applications in the field of automatic natural language processing; to have the skills of scientific and research search and structural and systematic analysis of specialized literature; to master the skills of practical technologies for creating practical linguistic applications in the field of automatic processing of natural language.
Course content
The main tasks of the educational component are the assimilation of students of higher education with basic information about methods, technologies, and innovations in the theoretical and empirical processing/research of the chosen problem in computer linguistics, in its creative interpretation, and in the experimental verification of search results - a practical linguistic application.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The bachelor's qualification work is part of the research component of the educational program and is the final summation of the student's research work, aimed at independent analysis, in-depth study of current tasks of modern applied (computer) linguistics, creative implementation of the set linguistic task of an applied nature. The work is submitted to the examination commission in writing using the approved form together with other accompanying documents: an explanatory note; feedback from the scientific supervisor; reviews. The public defense of the bachelor thesis takes place in the form of a presentation using various forms of visualization of the report. If the work involves the creation of a linguistic information product, its work must be demonstrated. At the public defense, the feedback of the project manager and the review of the bachelor thesis are announced, and the student answers the questions of the committee members and the comments of the manager and the reviewer.
Assessment methods and criteria
The qualifying work is evaluated according to the 100-point system. 100 points – the sum of points for defense (45), review (45), and supervisor's feedback (10).
