PLO 21. Interpret, abstract, annotate and adequately translate (from Italian and Ukrainian) oral and written texts of various styles and genres, except for highly specialized ones. PLO 25. Demonstrate skills in the use of innovative technologies and various translation resources and translation automation tools. PLO 26. Provide stylistic revision of Ukrainian-language texts. PLO 27.2. Speak professional languages. PLO 28.2. Demonstrate the ability to perform written and oral specialized translation from Italian and English into Ukrainian and vice versa.

Successful mastering of the disciplines "Practical Italian language course", "Introduction to translation studies", "Practice of written and oral translation (Italian language)", "Language resource stylistics (Ukrainian language)", "Stylistic text analysis (Ukrainian language)".

The purpose of the discipline is to form theoretical knowledge and practical skills of translating scientific and technical texts from Italian into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Italian, which is a mandatory component of the work of a future translator. Abstract of the academic discipline: Translation in the field of translation of scientific and technical texts is an integral part of the translator's professional baggage, given the modern requirements for the specialty, the widespread demand for translations of texts in this subject. This special course is a discipline that starts the cycle of specialized translation courses in the broadest sense of the word, and prepares future translators to solve more serious problems of specialized translation.

Familiarization with the typology of scientific and technical texts, grammatical, lexical, and stylistic features of such texts. Familiarization with types of translation of scientific and technical texts.

Methods: Practical classes, independent work. Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, practical classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1 of the RPND. The discipline ends with a test. The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of performing the indicated types and forms of study and obtained on the test. The final grade from the educational component, which is the final form of control by which credit is established, is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. - The maximum number of points for the test: 25 points; Conditions for admission to the final assessment: - Students who have scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum (45 points) are not allowed to take the test.
