- apply the conceptual framework of scientific research methodology;

- formulate the purpose, objectives, and hypothesis of scientific research;

- compare the obtained research results with the theoretical justification of the problem;
- formulate conclusions of scientific research;
- present the results of research practice at scientific conferences;
- present the obtained results in the form of reports and presеntations.
Course content
Student internships are crucial stages in the process of training future professionals in higher education. Student internships are an integral part of the educational and professional training program for full-time master’s students in the field of study 035.06 Philology (Eastern Languages and Literatures (including Translation)) Educational Program “Eastern Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature,” specialization “Linguistics and a Second Eastern Language,” and is carried out in accordance with the curriculum. The aim of the research internship is the practical application of a system of scientific research algorithms within the framework of the approved research topics in accordance with the current requirements for the organization and content of research work, resulting in the development of professional competencies in master’s students related to the performance of scientific and practical tasks in modern linguistic science (in the linguistic track). Students are also expected to consolidate their knowledge and skills in the translation and interpretation of scientific texts, comparative analysis of the achievements of Turkish and Western linguistics and literary studies, the synthesis of scientific approaches to solving specific tasks, the adaptation of theoretical and methodological tools to work with Turkish linguistic material, etc. It is expected that the results of the research internship will be presented in the form of a research article prepared for publication, a report, a lecture-presentation, an academic translation of current scientific materials, a highly specialized terminology glossary, a completed chapter of a master’s thesis, a review or summary paper on current issues in modern linguistics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The student's research work involves:
1) collection and processing of scientific material;
2) systematization of existing scientific research on the topic of work;
3) writing annotations and abstracts of scientific articles in foreign languages (Turkish, English), etc;
4) compiling a scientific glossary and bibliography;
5) verification of the results of work (participation in scientific conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.)
It is expected that the results of the research practice will be presented in the form of a scientific article, report, lecture-presentation, academic translation of relevant scientific materials, a highly specialized terminology glossary, a finished chapter of a master's thesis, a review and abstract work on topical issues of modern linguistics, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria
Final evaluation in the form of a practice defense: the maximum number of points for the practice defense is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to the points obtained during the practice is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the defense).
Students who score less than the critical calculation minimum of 20 points are not allowed to defend their internship. The recommended minimum for admission is 38 points.
Types of work:
1. Completion of the documentation of the internship report and the text of the scientific research in full and, if available, the supervisor's review of the scientific article submitted for publication. Defense of practice: 1 - 40 points.
