Learning outcomes
LO9. Describe the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, key terms, etc.) and applied aspects of Turkish philology.
LO10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, and folkloric data; interpret and translate Turkish and English texts of various styles and genres.
LO11. Conduct a scientific analysis of linguistic and literary material, interpret and structure it in accordance with appropriate methodological principles, and formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.
LO13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues and one’s own viewpoint on them, along with its rationale, in an accessible and well-reasoned manner to both specialists and the general public, particularly students.
LO16. Apply specialized conceptual knowledge in Turkish philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "General Psychology", "Educational Psychology", "Age Psychology".
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the structure of the psyche, factors and basic mechanisms of personality formation;
3. Possession of skills and abilities to analyze scientific literature, prepare essays, presentations, and conduct discussions.
Course content
The discipline "Psychology of Higher Education" is included in the list of compulsory educational components of the major "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature". Its subject is the psychological foundations of the educational process and pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions, psychological mechanisms of the formation of a professional's personality. The course content covers theoretical and methodological foundations and conceptual and categorical apparatus, peculiarities of the student as a subject of educational and professional activity, adaptation to studying at a university; peculiarities of student group development, psychological aspects of the university teacher's activity, psychological regularities of pedagogical interaction between the teacher and the student.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 30% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Oral answer: 9 - 15 points.
2. Additions, participation in the discussion: 2 - 4 points.
3. Control work №1 with open answers: 5 - 12 points.
4. Creative task (essay, mini-project): 10 - 14 points.
5. Control work No. 2 (final) in the form of tests: 10 - 15 points.
