Program Learning Outcomes PLO 4. Qualitative performance of thesis / qualification work aims to improve the preparation of graduates for independent study, finding a creative solution of professional problems, development of competence in scientific research: - actualization, deepening and consolidation of students' knowledge gained during the course; - development of scientific work skills in the field of teaching methods: critical analysis of scientific literature, critical analysis of theoretical sources, textbooks, manuals, selection of educational material, creation of teaching technologies, testing of teaching technologies; - development of independent learning skills to death with a scientific research, the ability to evaluate the phenomena under study in terms of their relevance.

The aim of writing and defending the master's thesis is to defend the scientific research and prove the graduate’s actual compliance of the educational level and qualification training in accordance with the programme requirements. Abstract. Master's thesis is an independent scientific research on the methods of teaching Ukrainian language / Ukrainian literature / foreign language. The work is a description of the course and results of scientific research to test the scientific competence in the field of teaching, professional knowledge, skills of critical analysis of scientific sources, the ability and readiness of future specialists to theoretically substantiate, develop and implement the author's scientific proposals in the educational process.

The assessment of master’s thesis consist of the following procedure: points given by the supervisor, who fills in the supervisor's feedback form (Annex 1) in accordance with the assessment criteria (max -10 points; points given by the reviewer who fills in the review form (Annex 1) according to the evaluation criteria (max - 45 points; the defense of master’s thesis weighs max – 45 points and is assessed by members of the examination board. The final evaluation form (Annex 1) contains the total score, which includes the three components and can be scored max – 100.

The thesis / qualification work is submitted to the attestation commission in writing in the approved form together with other accompanying documents: the supervisor's review. Public defense of the thesis / qualification work is a prier prepared report and a slide presentation. The maximum number of points is 100: the supervisor's assessment (max - 10 points), the reviewer's assessment (max - 45 points), the assessment of the defense (max - 45 points). If the student has publications (one or more) in professional editions of Ukraine or in others that belong to scientific databases, they are awarded additional points (10 points - for an article; 5 points - for an article in co-authorship. But the total number of points cannot exceed 100.
