PLO 1. Communicate fluently on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and English languages orally and in writing, and use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 7. Understand the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and English languages. The final exam in English serves as a form of determining the level of mastery of practical skills and abilities necessary for translation and interpretation from and into English in various fields of activity. The exam is conducted by the Examination Board within the timeframe provided for by the working training sessions. The exam covers the topics of the disciplines included in the educational and professional program. Applicants who have fulfilled all the requirements of the curriculum are allowed to take the final exam. The program contains requirements for applicants' answers at the final exam, the structure, content and evaluation criteria of the tasks, a list of conversational topics to be examined, as well as a list of necessary methodological and scientific literature for the professional training of applicants.

The exam consists of three assignments. Assignment 1 is a written translation from English into Ukrainian of a text on general topics (750 - 900 printed characters). Assignment 2 - abstracting a Ukrainian socio-political text in English (up to 1000 printed characters) and expressing your attitude to the issue. Assignment 3 is a conversation on the proposed topic in English.

The exam consists of three forms of control: translation of English-language texts into Ukrainian, abstracting a Ukrainian-language text into English, and a conversation on a proposed topic. The assessment criteria are set out in detail in the final exam syllabus. The maximum number of points that a student can score is 100. The maximum/minimum possible number of points for the first and second assignment of the ticket: maximum score - 35; minimum score - 20. Maximum/minimum possible number of points for the third question: maximum score - 30; minimum score - 20.
