2) critical analysis and forecasting regarding political, economic, and cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline «Social and Political Studies» is part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of study of the discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context. The aim of the course is to provide students with an understanding of the characteristics of contemporary Ukrainian society, politics, and government in a comparative context, as well as the specific nature of sociological and political science knowledge regarding the issues and trends in the development of society, politics, and government.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
Part I:
1. Oral answer: 24 - 40 points.
2. Final control work (test): 6 - 10 points.
Part II:
1. Oral answer: 18 - 30 points.
2. Independent individual work: 6 - 10 points.
3. Final control work: 6 - 10 points.
