Learning outcomes
The ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize the main problems of the science of civil procedural law; learn to effectively form a strategy for implementing professional tasks in the field of civil justice based on the need for sustainable development of society, the rule of law, human and citizen rights and freedoms in Ukraine; be able to correctly interpret and apply the norms of civil procedural law and existing judicial practice based on the foundations of legal philosophy, knowledge and understanding of the structure of the legal profession and its role in society; use the data of the science of civil procedural law and understanding of international human rights standards, the provisions of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as the practice of the European Court of Human Rights to solve professional tasks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the doctrinal understanding of the nature and essence of procedural law, the judicial system in Ukraine, forms of protection of civil rights, methods of protecting civil rights, etc., obtained as a result of studying the disciplines "Civil Law", "Judicial System in Ukraine"; the ability to critically and analytically understand the priority and expediency of considering a specific case in civil proceedings; the ability to perceive and analyze sources of law.
Course content
Theoretical foundations of civil procedural law. Tasks and basic principles of civil proceedings. Civil jurisdiction. Participants in the case. Representatives. Other participants in the trial. Measures of procedural coercion in civil proceedings. Procedural deadlines. Judicial summons and notifications. Evidence and proof in civil proceedings. Claim. Right to sue. Securing a claim. Claim proceedings. Opening proceedings in a case. Preparatory proceedings. Consideration of cases in a simplified procedure. Consideration of a case in absentia. Settlement of a dispute with the participation of a judge. Settlement agreement. Withdrawal of a claim. Fixation of the trial. Suspension and closure of proceedings in a case. Leaving the claim without consideration. Court decisions. Court review of court decisions. Extra-judicial review of court decisions. Civil proceedings with a foreign element. Procedural issues related to the execution of court decisions, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points on the semester control form - exam, to which are added the points received by the student during seminar classes. To receive an overall positive grade for the discipline, the grade for the final work cannot be less than 36 points. In the event that a student scores less than 36 points on the semester exam form, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points received during the semester), and the information in the "exam points" column is marked with "0", respectively, only the number of points received during the semester is transferred to the "resulting grade" column. If during the semester the sum of points received by a student based on the results of current control is more than 40 points, only 40 points are actually counted.
