Learning outcomes
Use conceptual and specialized knowledge and understanding of current problems and achievements of selected areas of modern theoretical and experimental physics or astronomy to solve complex tasks and practical problems.
Conduct experimental or theoretical research in physics and astronomy, analyze the results obtained in the context of existing theories, make reasoned conclusions (including assessment of the degree of uncertainty) and proposals for further research.
Apply modern theories of scientific management and business administration to organize scientific and applied research in the field of physics or astronomy. Evaluate the novelty and reliability of scientific results in the selected area of physics or astronomy, published in the form of a publication or oral report.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of physical optics, calculation and design of optical systems.
2. Know at a basic level courses related to general physics.
Course content
Scientific and industrial practice is an educational component of a practical orientation (practical training) to consolidate theoretical knowledge and gain an idea of its practical use in the production of high-tech optical equipment for military and space purposes, in metrological activities and in scientific laboratory work.
