Learning outcomes
PR 9. Preparing policy briefs, reports about the international relations, public communications, and regional studies. PR 13. To take part in professional discussions about the international relations, public communications, and regional studies; respect of the counterparts and their opinion; getting the information out to the specialists and public, bring them idea and own experience about professional issue. PR 16. To analyze the processes of international relations and foreign policy considering the specifics of modern diplomatic service and norms of diplomatic protocol and etiquette; to be able to use these special knowledges on practice of foreign policy, and the organization of international negotiation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Positive results in courses “Theory and analysis of foreign policy”, “International relations and world politics”, “Diplomatic protocol and etiquette”. 2. The knowledge of theoretical aspects and functioning of the mechanisms of foreign policy and the structure of the national representation on international arena. 3. Skills of analytical work, writing and assessment of diplomatic documents, research work.
Course content
1. Definition of the political negotiation in the modern international relations. Categorization and functions of international negotiation. 2.The main approaches to the organization of negotiation. Informational, analytical, and organizational preparation of negotiation. 3. Main stages of negotiation. Documents in the negotiation process. 4. Strategies and tactics of negotiation. 5.Personal style of negotiation. Personal skills of effective mediator and psychological tips in negotiation. 6. National negotiation style.

Lectures, seminar, test and creative tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Report| discussion during the seminar – up to 20 points. Test to the module 1 – up to 20 points. Creative tasks – up to 60 points (2 tasks – up to 30 points each).
