Learning outcomes
1. To identify, assess and forecast political, diplomatic, security, social and other risks in the field of international relations, foreign policy and global development.
2. To participate in professional discussions in the field of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies, respect opponents and their views, convey to professionals and the public information, ideas, problems, solutions and personal experience on professional issues.
3. To evaluate events and processes of international relations and foreign policy taking into account the peculiarities of modern diplomatic service and norms of diplomatic protocol and etiquette, be able to apply this specific knowledge in foreign policy practice and for organizing and conducting international negotiations.

1. To have basic knowledge of the history of international relations, jurisprudence.
2. To have basic skills of political analysis.
Course content
Topic 1. The concept of diplomacy and diplomatic service.
Topic 2. The system of foreign relations.
Topic 3. Establishment of diplomatic relations. Diplomatic missions: structure and functions.
Topic 4. Diplomatic agents.
Topic 5. Diplomatic privileges and immunities.
Topic 6. Establishment of consular relations. Functions of consular offices.
Topic 7. Special missions as a tool of diplomacy.
Topic 8. The practice of multilateral diplomacy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Modular control: for two modules - up to 60 points (30 + 30)
Exam control: written exam work - up to 40 points
