Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of mastery of national and foreign languages to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and academic communication; to present the results of their studies in these national and foreign languages. PLO 5. To find optimal ways for effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 13. To explain the essence of both specific linguistic issues and one’s point of view and its justification to experts and laypeople in an accessible and argumentative manner, particularly to individuals who are studying. PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Proficiency in the German language at the B2/C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, demonstrating acquired skills by incorporating lexical and grammatical material learned and mastered in previous courses according to the educational program.
Course content
The purpose of teaching the academic discipline "Intercultural Communication" is to explore modern scientific concepts, notions, methods, and technologies of intercultural communication, analyze and compare the characteristic features of native communication culture and the communication cultures of other nations. The objectives of studying this academic discipline include familiarizing students with various methodologies for resolving intercultural issues, which involves developing intercultural and communicative competence in students.

Educational activities during the semester: Oral responses Contributions, participation in discussions Blitz questioning Tests Presentation defense Completion of individual work - Preparation of a presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: • Maximum number of points during the semester - 60 points Oral responses - 15 Contributions, participation in discussions - 6 Blitz questioning - 10 Tests - 14 Presentation defense - 5 Completion of individual work - Preparation of a presentation - 10 The course concludes with an exam - 40 points. The exam includes answering a theoretical question and preparing a presentation on a given topic.
