Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of such competencies, skills and abilities as: the ability to apply knowledge, tasks, principles and doctrines of national civil law, analysis of civil law problems, logical, critical and systematic analysis of civil law relations, formation and justification of legal positions, preservation and enhancement of human values and achievements of society, The study of this course contributes to the legal, democratic and patriotic education of students, the formation of their legal culture and the ability to analyze and predict

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) know the basic provisions of the general theory of law, the main sources and place of civil law in the system of national law; 2) be able to distinguish from the general range of legal relations those that can be attributed to civil law; 3) have basic skills in perceiving civil law concepts, searching for sources and basic literature of civil law.
Course content
Civil law is a basic private law discipline and, in terms of legal regulation, a reliable foundation of civil society. Therefore, the specificity of teaching the discipline is to make students aware of the values of such a society, the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law and the freedoms of man and citizen. The discipline covers: a) general provisions of civil law; b) civil legal relations - their participants, content, objects; c) transactions, representation; d) terms and deadlines, limitation period; e) forms and methods of protection of civil rights and interests; f) personal non-property rights of an individual; g) property rights and other real rights; h) intellectual property rights. The discipline provides a fundamental basis for further study of all special private law (civil law) disciplines

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, student’s self-study work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The forms of student assessment include: express survey; colloquium; report; testing (choose the correct ones from a set of judgments); module test; case study.
The minimum score to be obtained by a student on the relevant forms of assessment during the semester is 24 points, the maximum score is 40 points.
During the current control during seminars, the following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student in the answer, activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, systematic work in the classroom, and the results of homework.
In the event of a student's absence from a seminar class for valid reasons, he or she may make up the missed class during extracurricular time (teacher's consultation time).
The final grade for the discipline is formed by adding the number of points received during two semesters and the number of points received in the final form of control (exam), and such a sum cannot be less than 60.
