PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles.
PLO 21. To translate (orally and in writing) texts of different genres and styles from Ukrainian into the native language and vice versa (according to the selective block "Practical translation for those who study Ukrainian as a foreign language").

Prerequisites and co-requisites
High level of proficiency in the Ukrainian language, knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics and successful completion of disciplines of 1-2 semesters (practical course of the Ukrainian language: professional level, linguistic and stylistic analysis of a literary text, morphology and syntax of the Ukrainian language in the functional aspect).
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to develop students' professional skills in translating business documents and correspondence from Ukrainian into their native language and vice versa, writing business letters in Ukrainian, and developing communication skills in business communication situations.
The course deepens students' understanding of the official business style of Ukrainian, business documents of various types, peculiarities of translation of special texts, introduces students to the principles of pre-translation analysis of official business speech, reveals the dependence of translation on the specifics of language tools. The course is also aimed at expanding students' vocabulary, improving the general educational and cultural level of foreign students.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study: lectures, practical classes, independent work.
Teaching methods: problem-based teaching (explanation, discussion, analysis); independent work with scientific and reference literature, linguistic analysis of texts of official style, team translation, team analysis of translation quality.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current tests, oral responses, participation in discussions, translation/interpretation, analysis of translation/interpretation results and their editing, module tests, collection and analysis of information for translation.
