Learning outcomes
PLO 3. To apply modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in a specific linguistic field. PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature, to interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 11. To perform a scholarly analysis of language, speech and literature material, interpret and structure it based on appropriate methodological principles, sum up the results of individually processed data. PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The program is designed for students of the 1st year of the "master's" educational level who have successfully mastered the "bachelor's" training program and received the corresponding degree; know the main categories of translation and the general principles of written and oral translation; are able to adequately apply basic translation techniques; speak English at a level not lower than C1 and Ukrainian at a level not lower than C2.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the formation and improvement of general and professional competences necessary for carrying out professional activities in the field of translation, as well as mastering the basic techniques of the process of oral and written translation of texts belonging to various fields and genres, studying the main types of translation counterparts based on work with a wide an array of texts.

Practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Throughout the semester, practical classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1 of the programme. The discipline ends with an exam. The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of performing the specified types and forms of education and obtained in the exam. Admission to the exam requires the student to successfully complete assignments and work throughout the semester. The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
