Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To assess individual academic and scientific-professional activity, to build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 4. To assess and critically analyze the vital social, individual, and professional issues and offer tactics of their solution, in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To find optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 6. To use knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize a successful communication. PLO 12. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To be eligible students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process, and the place of ethics among the philosophical sciences.
Course content
The discipline "Professional and corporate ethics" belongs to the list of mandatory disciplines. The educational discipline is aimed at the formation of an educated specialist, ethically competent and morally oriented to conscientious, conscious, and ethically balanced performance of professional activity. The subject field of applied, professional and corporate ethics, their place in the structure of ethical knowledge, features of ethical regulation of professional activity, and ethical dimensions of professionalism are determined. The mission and structure of the ethical infrastructure as a tool for managing values in professional and corporate activities, models and functions of ethical units, and ethical documents, including the ethical code, ethical monitoring, and ethical audit as a control of ethical activity, are clarified. The basics of corporate culture and moral standards of the organization's activities are clarified. The basics of corporate social responsibility are determined. The peculiarities of socio-normative concretizations of morality in a number of social practices in a professional direction are considered. In particular, the basics of pedagogical ethics, its structure, and subject field are defined, and attention is paid to university ethics, the value dynamics of university life in cultural and historical development, and the mission of the university in modern socio-cultural practice. The value-normative principles of the scientist's activity and ethical dimensions of the relationship between ethics and technology are clarified, as well as features of social responsibility in science. The value bases of translation and norms and principles of translation ethics are highlighted.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course consists of 2 content parts. The first part of the course is devoted to the consideration of professional and corporate ethics in the context of the applied turn in moral theory (the place of applied and professional ethics in the structure of ethical knowledge, the essence of professional ethics, ethical infrastructure, corporate ethics, and corporate social responsibility). The second part of the course focuses on the social and normative specification of morality in professional fields of study (pedagogical ethics, university ethics, science ethics, translation ethics). Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars, and interactive methods of teaching.
Assessment methods and criteria
All learning outcomes are assessed in lectures and seminars during the semester. Students must submit their essays no later than the last lecture week. The discipline ends with a credit. The semester grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire course. The total grade for the semester consists of the points received for classroom work (oral presentations, additions, and participation in discussions during lectures and seminars) and for independent learning (essays).
