            PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Polish language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PRN 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (by specialization: Slavic languages and literatures (including translation), the first is Polish).
PRN 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres.
PRN 20. Know the problems of modern Polonistics as a separate direction of Slavic studies and demonstrate a holistic system of professional knowledge that determines the social significance of the future profession.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            Students must know the history of Ukrainian and world literature within the framework of the school curriculum, general factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature; successfully master the material of the academic disciplines "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Introduction to Philology" "Modern Polish Language: Practical Course" (I semester); knowledge of general information about the historical and cultural context, the basics of literary terminology; mastering the basic skills and abilities of tracking the evolution of literary genres, analyzing and interpreting literary works.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The purpose of the course is to provide students with initial, generalized, systematized information about the dynamics of the development of Polish literature; study of the regularities of the literary process in Poland, the genesis and evolution of genres (epos, lyrics and drama), genres and styles of literature. The discipline gives an idea of the problems, poetics and artistic style of works of Polish literature; forms the skills of literary analysis and interpretation of literary works with the involvement of original texts.

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            The presentation of the material is carried out using the following teaching methods: Lectures and practical classes, video viewing of the material, work with texts (reading, abstracting, quoting); management of independent work and control over its implementation, individual consultations are carried out
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Control is carried out according to the modular rating system. The final form of assessment is a score.
Writing two thematic test papers, completing the required amount of homework and oral presentations on the topics provided by the work program of the academic discipline are mandatory for obtaining a credit. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "enrolled". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "not counted". Students who scored less than 60 points in total for the semester must prepare material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing independent works, essays or, if necessary, additional control work.
